CPR and First Aid
This optional hands-on session, presented by AMPATH instructors, equips you with essential life-saving skills to care for your baby in emergency situations. Using mannequins and guided practice, you will learn infant CPR techniques and how to respond effectively to choking in both infants and toddlers. This practical training ensures you feel confident and prepared to act quickly when it matters most.
The session also covers recognising and managing common medical concerns, including how to identify and respond to a fever, treat minor burns and injuries, and know when to seek emergency care. You will learn how to manage vomiting and diarrhoea, including safe rehydration practices, as well as how to identify critical emergency red flags. This comprehensive training provides peace of mind and the skills needed to keep your baby safe.
