Natural Birth

This lesson explores natural birth and equips you with the knowledge and confidence to approach labour in a calm and informed way. You will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of natural birth for both mother and baby, how to recognise the signs that labour has begun, and what to expect during the different stages of labour. We also cover practical coping techniques for contractions, including breathing, relaxation, distraction, and visualisation, to help you manage labour effectively.

You will gain a clear understanding of your partner’s role during labour, including ways they can support you through techniques such as massage and reassurance. This lesson also guides you on when to go to the hospital, what to pack for your stay, and how to create a birth plan that reflects your preferences. In addition, a talk by a doula provides further insight into support options and the overall birth experience.
